cheery music on a dreary day


There's nothing like baroque music to lift the spirits - I brought some cds home from work today, and decided that this one was just the ticket.   It was.

These guys never wrote a negative sounding note!

    I'm not a real classical fan even with a violinist in the house but baroque is my favourite period of the classics by far.

    where does the expression "just the ticket" come from? i use that expression often and have never known it's origins!
